I walked in on a burglar robbing my home at 6 pm in the afternoon. I was just getting in from work and after walking in the front door I noticed the back door kicked in so I ran out screaming.

I jumped into the car drove down the street called 911 then called ADT and they had no clue of what was going on. They called 911 after I did because she said they got a signal but it looked like I lost power in the home. Yes the alarm was activated because Pulse sent an email saying that someone enter the back door and to enter with caution. That's how I knew that the burglar was in there almost 10mins.

but I notice the email after the calls. I contacted an attorney and they sent letters about the incident and the response we got from them was "we contacted the authorities first but if you would like to cancel you will still be responsible for 75% of remainder" something like that. So I requested a record from them and I also requested my phone log from Verizon and it clearly showed where I contacted 911 first, then ADT and then ADT contacted 911 much later. Mind you that Pulse is a system that they offer (ADT system) so if you compare the time Pulse said that someone enter into the back door and the time they called it was almost 20 minutes later alone.

After we sent the 2nd letter they never responded. They showed no sympathy for the fact that I could have been hurt or something worst by walking in on that situation. They took no responsibility for their negligence. They advertise all of these commercial saying that they are protecting you while you are sleeping and when you are away is not true!!!!!

Then when they repaired the system they wanted to charge me and wanted me to start the contract over. This company is the worst!!!!

I would not go with ADT again if they were offering FREE SERVICE!!! You will be better off protecting yourself...after all that's what I was doing.

Reason of review: Negligence on ADT part after not notifing authorites nor myself after i walked into a break in.

Monetary Loss: $3500.

Preferred solution: I will like a full refund and the early termination fee removed from my account. .

ADT Cons: I was a customer for 8 years until this happened.
