I decided to change my alarm monitoring company. I called the new alarm company in September 2016 and the new service was up and operating by 10/4/16.

My quarterly autopay to ADT had already been made on 10/1/16. I called ADT and spoke to Denisse to cancel my ADT service on 10/4/16. She said there was a cancellation fee (though my contract with ADT was expired) of 1 month charge, which is about $43.46. The refund (less the 30 day termination fee) was supposed to occur in 30 days which would make it 11/4/16.

I called ADT in late November 2015 and they said it was being processed. ADT never called me nor sent me anything.

Reason of review: No refund.

Monetary Loss: $87.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

ADT Cons: Alarm accidentally set off, Adt sometimes would call to question it.

If you read your paperwork, you would see that the contract renews itself every month after the completion ot the initial 3 year term, you must cancell in writing and the cancellation will take affect 3o days after the written request is recieved, now this is not the problem of the company but yours and yes this is the way the majority of alarm companies operate. NOT JUST ONE

I find it funny how you blame compainies for your lack of knowledge or ability to call ahead and see what you need to do.

Just go out on your own & switch mogtage companies or your auto laon. GOOD LUCK
