A knock at my front door got my attention, I opened the door and there stood what I thought was an actual real ADT sales person. The quack introduced himself and said that ADT was currently offering a free complete security alarm system with all the sensors and a camera as long as I would agree to let them advertise their Company by placing a sign in my front yard and paying fourty dollars a month...

This "ADT sales person" dialed a number on his personal cell and said "yea I need to run a person's credit" and then he asked for the last four digits of my SSN and stated that he had paper work to prove that he was a legit salesman.

I overheard the lady on the phone asking for his name, company location, his position and the company licensing number (or something like that) and the lady had said that she hadn't heard of him or the location and he had statex that they turned in all paper the day before and they were a new branch out Greenville, SC and the lady spoke to me to confirm my address and name but she didn't ever ask for my SSN nor ask permission to run my credit... (This guy asked for my SSN in the begining) then the guy said "Ok, Thank you" and he ended the call and said that I was 15 points away from the required score for approval and then he wrote his first name and personal number on a piece of paper that he tore from a notebook and he said to give him a call if I knew anyone that would let me put it in their name and then he walked out the frontdoor.... Oh and the genious "Forgot" his muddy yard sign. Now I'm getting a letter from the Social Security Administration saying that my SSI benefits could be stopped because their computer matching program has reported state wage..

WTF!!!

I don't work or have extra income coming in from anywhere. What the ***'o is going on?

Location: Anderson, South Carolina

Good Evening, my name is Dan and I work out of ADT's Corporate Customer Relations office. I am sorry to hear about your experience with the sale of your alarm system and this sounds like it may have been an Authorized Dealer.

Please send us your contact information to CustomerConcerns@***.com and we will reach out to assist.

Thanks. -Dan
