Do NOT use ADT if you have not checked out a local alarm company first.ADT if you don't go to their website ADT.com or call them directly, as you will deal with a contract company that is authorized by ADT.
That ends up NOT being a good idea. ADT buys the contract from that independant contractor after you have paid for 1 year with that independant contractor. These people bounce you back and forth when you need answers as one company installs your equipment while another monitors your equipment. You will find out you don't get exactly get what you want as they nickle & dime you to death to get what security system you wanted.
You don't get much for the $99.00 "special". Everything is an upgrade and of course with a charge or a monitoring fee. I had Brinks which becane Broadway and now ADT. Brinks and Broadway was far better and cheaper.
It took ADT's contract company the same amount of time to install just their wireless box and two control panels as it did for the hard-wired up-in-the attic wire and all of the equipment; go figure! There is something going on with ADT that is just above being legal with this sort of bait and switch tactics along with the run-around when needing answers.
BE CAREFUL...CAVEAT EMPTOR = BUYER BEWARE!Don't be a statistic!
