I have an ADT alarm system in my house that was installed by the previous owners. I have no contract with ADT, however every morning it calls ADT and this call costs me 20p, thats £1.40 every week, £73 pounds a year!!!

I have never agreed to this and am disgusted that its allowed to happen. It seems like I'm not alone though http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/08712005064 and some of these guys who are customers didnt even know it happened!

I'm looking forward to discussing this with them tomorrow as I have only just discovered the problem.

I too have just experienced the same problem as a new home owner & a received a hefty BT bill with ADT.

I called the ADT Customer Complaint Department in Manchester & got a FULL refund & an engineer came out FREE OF CHARGE to power down our alarm system.
