Bait and switch is the name of the game... Every ad, flyer, statement from this company makes claims that are only true if you want almost ZERO protection, then they expect the technician to go in and pass on the actual protection plan, which is literally THOUSANDS more. To have any useable features, the monthly cost is more than double what they tell you. The tech is making nothing if you dont sign on for more, so its a lose-lose for customer and employee. For a security company, they dont protect ANYONE, costumer, or employees.

Do business with ADT if you like throwing away money and don't need real security

This company sold me faulty equipment and locked me into a contract. I've paid thousands of dollars for a system that won't work right. In the last visit with a technician he brought his manager. He admitted that the system wasn't correct when it was installed two years ago. His solution was to give me $500 off of my remaining contract (I'd still have to pay the rest of it) or he would have new equipment installed that would require me to sign another lengthy contract with a company that sells faulty equipment and has extremely poor customer service. I've wasted thousands of dollars. Bottom-line = faulty equipment and lousy customer service.

I moved offices on October 30th. The ADT people told me to leave my 1 (yes, one) year old equipment at my old office, and they would bring new equipment. What I didn't know, and they didn't say, is that I would be purchasing this new equipment. Then after giving them the new installation fee in order to schedule the installation, they removed $1,346.10 termination fee from my bank account on 11-27-19. After 5 telephone calls, and telling me it would be returned within 48 hours, and then that the Thanksgiving holiday would delay the refund, and then that they are sending me a check in the mail, I still do not have a check for this amount as of 12-16-19! By the way, the new office installation was completed 12-11-19 and I had to sign another 3 year contract. Beware consumers!

I called ADT thinking they were an honest and reputable company boy I was wrong they promised me the world all of the system was included in the installation, the warranty was avaliable on all packages, I would get 5 to 20 percent off my insurance all were lies I got 2 percent back, they wanted me to pay 3000 dollars for parts and the warranty was not on the cheapest package. This company will rip you off I just want out of my contract and get my money back but I am locked into a 3 year contract this company is a joke DO NOT USE!!!!

Cancelled the contract within the 3 day period allowed by Michigan law. After spending over 30 hours to make calls, faxes, emails and registered letters, ADT would not end the contract or pick up equipment. Its been 12 months and I filed suit in the Courts today. My credit report is showing that I owe ADT over $1,500. This has caused financial damage as well as a lot of distress. The problem continues. There should be a class action suit started against ADT as well as their affiliates.

Very poor process for cancellation. No response regarding credit reporting.

This has caused alot of time, aggravation, and financial set back due to their credit reporting of a cancelled account. Should be come a class action suit.
