What I don't understand and nobody can explain to me is why it takes a whole month to turn off and cancel. It's all a game don't fall for it there are so many other things you can use besides adt.

No other company takes that long to cancel something But yet they can turn it on instantly. Needless to say there canceled we paid our last bill so I Hope they don't think There getting another one because we haven't used it since we canceled . Hence the cancelation don't you dare try to play with me adt, I know what you're up to And I'm way ahead of the game. I'm not paying for this month that it takes to turn off!!!!!

Not to mention your installation guys were not friendly in cut my doorbell line. ***

Just to update. I have exchanged emails with Gabe at ADT.

He has issued me a credit for the months that my system was down and I have received additional information from him concerning my system. What I have done is cancel the Pulse portion of my system and also the service contract. After reviewing my system and my needs I feel that those items are not necessary for my needs. I retained the cellular, burglar, and fire monitoring.

At this point I feel that ADT treated me fairly after my complaint and would only add that possibly my misunderstanding would have not happened had ADT informed me at the time my pulse failed. Apparently a person has to sign up for that feature. I was never informed that I needed to do that and feel that it should be part of the Pulse experience.

They need to itemize the charges on bills not just the total. I think that would help all customers of ADT.

If you're canceling the services after your initial 3 day right, there are likely early termination charges associated with your agreement. ADT in Boca Raton, Florida - Horrible ZERO Security Service Delivery

I am retired veteran and As stated on many consumer complaint websites, ADT DOES NOT CARE bout PEOPLE, ADT only cares about 1 thing MONEY. ADT is charging me a $1,000 with a 15% discount yet other consumers have reported 25% discount offers on contract termination fee. ADT is no different from the many greedy cooperations that trick consumers into long contracts with promises of excellent customer care and prompt service delivery; then once they have a consumer in their clutches, they neglect, dismiss and exploit the consumer with impunity. ADT FAILED TO SECURE our home when our alarm was activated and that speaks volumes for how low their SECURITY measures have deteriorated. We paid for security NOT the appearance or promise of security. ADT failed to call as is stated in our service agreement and therefore was in breach of the contract. Charging us an early termination fee because we did not give them an opportunity to fix the problem before deciding to terminate service is highly unethical. It is understood that the contract and the payments we made were indeed the "OPPORTUNITY," not after our home has been burglarized and the ADT ALARM COMPANY FAILED TO RESPOND. The failure of ADT to protect us prompted us to cancel and we are not interested in using a company that has demonstrated such poor service delivery. ADT failed to deliver the agreed upon service when needed, which was to Call our home when the burglar alarm was actived as agreed. That is clear from the many sad and frustrated consumers like me. Shame on you ADT.Corporations have psychopathic characteristics . Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy. Monetary Loss: $1000. Preferred solution: Price reduction. I liked: Sales representative who beguiled us and sold us the policy. I didn't like: Adt failed to call us when buglar alarm activated.

She was able to reduce our payment, by half, for the next four months. She also suggested that we email the home office to request a hardship due to health reasons. My wife (Donna) and I have been working as house parents for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes for the past ten years. We live and work on campus.

Both Donna and I have encountered health problems and are currently trying to get disability. As of January 1, 2018 we will no longer be receiving a pay check and our disability has not been approved. We have to be out of the cottage (provided by the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes) in December. We will have to move in with our children or other family members, as we have no other home.
