First and foremost, we have been a customer of ADT for a very long time (by default when we took over the small business). Recently we required an additional sensor to be installed so naturally we contact our current monitoring company. The tradesman came, had a look and noted the ceiling was too high so made another booking for another time. Whilst he was onsite he said he should take a look at a few things and then walk back and forth from this parking spot (around a few hundreds metres away). As a tradesman, one should have a whole toolbox with you with all the relevant items in it when attending jobs but unfortunately this wasn't the case. This happened when he came back to install the sensor the second time around. Not only that, a second tradesman was required. Whilst in between carrying out the installation, we could clearly hearing the two tradesmen sent by ADT security complained, criticised and whinged about their work place - within the confine of a very small back office where their conversation is clearly audible to everyone within the vicinity. Not only that, they even went outside in front of our premise and carrying on the conversation while they are supposed to install the sensor.

A few weeks later, I had a bill for around $1,200. Yes, that is correct. For an installation of one sensor. Naturally I complained to ADT about the pricing and today I had a call back stating that I have to pay around $960 after they have waived the called out fee. That is still way too high for the installation of just one sensor. It is not about the fees being given these have been brought to my attention at time of the booking. It is the fact that I am paying for their tradesmen to carrying on their own private matters whilst attending the job. The ADT representative would not even consider my offer to meet somewhere in between due to the fact that I have signed the job off at the time. The tradesman just placed the mobile device in front of me and asked to to signed and I signed with the trust that the company i supported a long time would do the right thing. But that wasn't the case. Naturally enough, I contacted another firm to carry out the monitoring service at a cheaper rate and cancelled my contract with ADT straight away - but still have to paid for min. 30 days notice.

PLEASE DO NOT USE ADT ... THEY WILL END UP *** THE HAND THAT FEED THEM IN THE END.
