The brinks (adt) alarm system has not worked in my home for over 2 months. Many phone calls to their office results in promises that are never kept. They have no intentions on repairing my alarm, but tell me I am locked into a 3 year contract and can not cancel my service and must pay my bill.

PAY FOR THEIR SERVICE THAT THEY CANNOT GIVE ME? Brinks (ADT) is not a reliable company to do business with. Their promises of return phone calls from a superviser never happens, and each time I call all I get is the run around. 1297bf5

Send a letter, certified, outlining your problems with the service not working and your attempts to get them to repair it. Tell them you expect them to contact you and schedule repair within the next ten days or you will consider it a breach of contract. Then, if they ignore you, withhold your money and send another certified letter stating you consider them in violation of the contract and you are withholding the money. I have never understood why people would continue to pay just because the company says they are "under contract" when the company is not providing the contractual service.
