Adt is there 24/7, what prevents you from calling when you're home or your days off? And as they no longer monitor you, why do they need to come fix the cell backup? You canceled! |
| 2. Written by Eric on February 7, 2012 from los angeles, california, US I too was ripped off! Just found out that ADT can charge whatever the *** they want after the first year for the monitoring fee, and since the contract locks us in for 3 years unless we pay that huge termination fee, we are screwed! My monthly monitoring fee was $39.99 the first year, then went up to $42.19. Strange amount, but is above a 5% increase. Definitely not adjusted to the CPI index, or anything having to do with the economy. This was just ADT's own way of bumping up their profits and since I'm on auto payment they probably thought I wouldn't notice. I can't believe that this is legal. I am definitely filing a complaint with the BBB which probably won't do anything, but whatever... |

Also remember you have the 6 months back-up if ADT sold you a bag of beans they will refund your money, you need to show in good faith that you are allowing the service access to fix your security system. Where is your rep? |
