I'm an elderly widow with adt since 2007 thinking my home was secured, and found out it really wasn't after a breakin recently.ADt claims they're not responsible. What sould I do??? They say there was no way they could've known my system wasn't working, but I recieved a recent letter saying ther was a malfunction with my system .They won't give me my records of repair service records, nor are they offering me any compensation for my losses. I may need to seek media and legal services to help me with ADT. Please Help!! 1297224

It's your responsibility to test your system every month to ensure it's working properly. Things like your telephone company having issues can prevent your alarm from working. If they sent you a letter saying it failed to test properly, then they attempted to call you and didn't get a response. Calling them to test, like your contract says to do, ensures you're protected.

If you fail to get a check up with the dr, then find out later you've had a health issue for some time, are you going to blame the dr for not knowing there was an issue? No? So if you're not checking up on your alarm like you should, why blame adt?
