Fact:ADT corporate blames installers, as they are subcontractors, so corporate will take no responsibility to resolve problems. They just say they are SO SORRY this has happened to me. I was a residential sales rep for years. I loved my job and my customers but the change in the culture made it so stressful. All they care about is making phone calls and counting how many calls you make. MICRO Management makes you feel like a child. I got ADT service. Service is ok and working. Installation is terrible. They charge more than what they said they would charge and I am left with $700 additional charge which I didn't get the camera and there is no way to get this money back given their head quarter and installer/sales person is disconnected. ADT Security System Plus is WORTHLESS! ADT has faulty installation of their own system After numerous attempts to fix - the system, at random, disables the outside door alarm. Once disabled, the system cannot be reset (unless you at physically at the main sensor). We rent our house and cannot be at the señsor to reset. ADT tech spent 3 1/2 hours doing I don't know what. Then left my home saying the system is good and none of my windows are connected. My wife came home and discovered that on her own making feel less that a responsible husband, father, protector of my home cause I allowed this person to come into my home and leave without checking his work. I purchased a home alarm system from an authorized ADT dealer called advanced video and security in Trussville, al. They are rude, tried to scam me and very unprofessional. The alarm system stopped working about 10 hours after they installed it. We had an ADT alarm system in our home. We had it activated, but then I had to move from my residence and am now renting a home with no alarm system. How can I get out of the contract, the ADT people have sent this too collections now and I have not got $500.00 to get out of the contract. I'm the poor guy who had two homes with ADT (FL and VA) Cancelled them both by phone and letters (HAD SYSTEM PROBLEMS WITH BOTH LOCATIONS) and later found ADT was still billing the VA home and charging my credit card even though their system was disconnected and I was getting no service!!! Had had ADT for under 3yrs. Started out at $120.00 now it's up to $154 per quarter. C.S. rep a nasty b she told me I should have read contract bec in it it states they can raise rate every year.
