Horrible service when cancelling the service! I will never use ADT again.

All we were interested in was an alarm system with surveillance cameras. I was told the the cameras that went outside would melt in the AZ heat and that the inside cameras would be best. I canceled serviced within 5 days of starting services. I was told that I would not received a cancelation fee. On the next day, I received an email that I was being charged the termination fee. When I called customer service and explain why I was calling, I was asked to explain the question 3 and 4 times to the same person. They are the worse in the industry poor service not knowledgeable not helpful expensive avoid them if you can.

This is the worst company. They lie to you about contracts. If you move they start your so called contract over again. If you want to speak to a manager they will flat out tell you no. I have never dealt with a company as horrible as this one.

I cancelled originally over 2 years ago. I don't check my bank statement as much as I should. I have had to call in at least 3 times because I have found automatic payments going to ADT. Again they state I will receive a credit to backdate and a letter stating the cancellation. We'll see! They were useless when I used them and useless after cancelling!! ADT provides poor overall services and negligence. Their equipment has issues and their response time to an actual burglary can be in excess of an hour or more. I would never recommend ADT to anyone who is trying to protect their home or business. I am disappointed in this company and regret ever signing up with ADT.

Hi there, I am a Navy Veteran who just moved to Portland, Oregon and just bought a home. One fine day had a gentlemen from adt come to the house and pitch us the whole adt home security gig. Wow what a deal for 50 bucks a month! So i signed up with his guarantee that if we didnt like the service, we had 30 days to cancel before the contract kicks in. On July 5, two very nice young men installed thr ADT securitty system in my home. By about 1 in the afternoon, they left and I was satisfied that I knew what to do. However, around 3 pm, a light appeared indicating one of the windows has been tampered with. From that time until now, I have not had access to the service. We received many false alarms due to battery failures. Both the fire department and cops have been dispatched to our home. I was charged by ADT a $25 service call to fix the batteries. We still continued to get false alarms. I called to cancel the service as it was creating more anxiety with each new alarm. Still got alarms.
