My brother put ADT Alarm Services on my elderly Mother's home. My Mother became incompetent and had to be put in a nursing home. The house was subsequently sold to an outside party. My brother must continue to pay ADT. This is totally unjust and seems like Gestapo tactics to me. After 2.5 years of successful wireless service we experienced "Comm Failure." Tech came and checked system on 2/2/15. The AT&T G2 (old) radio had failed and the "upgraded" (new) G3 radio did not get a signal from AT&T tower(s). Another tech came on 2/3/15 to install an "out-of-the-box" G2 radio; it did not get a signal from any tower. We now have no security service in this rural (farm)... Read more

The system was beeping and we noticed that the motion sensor battery was low. We had an appt. so I called ADT and asked, if not resolved, will it cause the alarm to go off. I was told, no. When we got home, the alarm was blaring. Had we not come in time to turn it off, the police would have been here. I called to cancel service in Aug 2014, when still getting hit for fees called in Oct to find out what was going on, apparently the first cancellation call was not on record, so I was told that I needed to pay big cancellation fee, I authorized the agent to hit the card on record for the balance. I lived in Washington for 3 years and had them for security in each of the apartments that I lived in. I moved out of State and cancelled service. A month before I moved, I called to cancel my service and the lady I spoke with told me I had to pay for the remainder of my two year contract; the total coming to $211 plus some change. I was promised a free carbon monoxide and fire alarm, when the time came I was charged for the fire alarm and was not given a carbon monoxide alarm. Our camera DVR supporting 3 cameras went offline Oct 2014. We called ADT under our service contract. Took them 3 weeks to schedule a tech.
